Hi, I’m Laurel! I’m an illustrator and aspiring writer based in Norwich, England. I’m currently studying an MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, and have a BA in Illustration from Norwich University of the Arts (2015).

I’m inspired by people and community (from working at my local public library), stories and folklore (from a lifelong love of books), and the natural world (I grew up with my triplet siblings between the Suffolk countryside and Pembrokeshire coast). I’m passionate about comics as a medium, and aim to convey warmth, humour and magic in my sequential and illustration work.

Primarily, I work by hand in pencil or ink and colour digitally, often for riso printing.
